Anita Jean (MacKay) Bogle of Somerset died on April 23, 2017 in her home surrounded by her family following a period of declining health.  She was 68.

She was born on July 2, 1948 in Boston, daughter of the late David and Ruth (Reese) MacKay.  Anita was raised and educated in Charlestown.  She attended the Union Hospital School of Nursing in Fall River and Roger Williams University, where she earned her Bachelor's in Social Work.  Prior to retirement, Anita devoted more than 28 years to the Town of Somerset as a Registered Nurse.  She enjoyed reading and writing, spending time at the beach and traveling.  She loved her family and that love was returned.

Former wife of William I. Bogle of Fall River.  Devoted mother of Heather B. and her husband, Rev. Kenneth W. MacMillen of Fall River.  Loving grandmother of Luke and Logan.  Beloved niece of Verna Lawton.  Sister of the late Patricia, Linda and Kathleen.

In accordance with her wishes, funeral services will be private.
